SOCCER NEWS:

Congratulations! Paige Harris and Darla Allen on your Soccer Scholarships to Montevallo

Paige Harris and Darla Allen have been offered scholarships by the University of Montevallo.  They will have a signing party at the high school after Spring Break. I will let you know more as it comes in.  Paige Harris has been a 6 year starter at the Striker (midfielder) position, she will be the 1st girl, maybe boy also ever to start all 6 years at CCHS in soccer. Paige started playing soccer for Coach Mike Chase (former Girls Soccer Coach and current Girls Basketball coach) in the 7th grade.

Darla Allen has been a 4 year starter at the defender position. Paige and Darla are both 2 time recipients on the All Tournament Team Award, and Darla was chosen to the North-South all star team last year. We are proud of both, as I am sure CCHS is as well.

Katie Evans and Lauren Whatley had first-half goals while Darla Allen and Paige Harris scored in the second half for host Clay-Chalkville (5-6-1). Goalkeeper Lauren Middleton had nine saves for the Cougars.
